Nasal and Sinus Surgery
Nasal and sinus surgery may be considered for selected patients with persistent nasal blockage, chronic sinus problems, structural nasal abnormalities or symptoms that do not improve adequately with appropriate medical treatment. A detailed ENT evaluation helps identify the underlying problem and determine whether surgery may be beneficial.
Conditions That May Require Surgery
Surgical evaluation may be recommended when nasal or sinus symptoms remain persistent despite appropriate medical management or when a structural problem contributes significantly to breathing difficulties.
- Persistent nasal blockage or difficulty breathing through the nose
- Chronic or recurrent sinusitis with ongoing symptoms
- Deviated nasal septum or other structural nasal problems
- Nasal problems affecting sleep, breathing or daily comfort
Evaluation & Surgical Planning
A thorough ENT assessment is performed before considering surgery. The nasal passages and sinuses are evaluated along with the patient's symptoms, medical history and response to previous treatments. Additional investigations may be advised when clinically appropriate.

- Nasal endoscopy or imaging when clinically indicated
- Assessment of the most appropriate surgical approach
Management & Postoperative Care
The type of surgery depends on the underlying nasal or sinus condition and individual clinical findings. Patients are counselled about the expected benefits, recovery and possible risks before treatment. Appropriate follow-up after surgery helps monitor healing and symptom improvement.
